Oma

This is my Oma (Dutch for Grandma).  She is 95 years old (almost 96), she lives by herself and up until recently she drove. It is amazing that she is still with us after surviving the The Holocaust unfortunately her first husband and parents weren't as lucky as her.  She survived by working for Phillips fixing radios and other electrical goods.  They would travel around from camp to camp in the depths of winter with limited food and clothing.  I don't know a lot about this time in her life, it's not surprising that she doesn't want to talk about it much.

I have photographed her many times.  This is my most recent portrait of her I know it won't be my last.
